One of the commonly expressed concerns people have is that they don’t know what to do in front of the camera. Don’t worry; I’ve got you!
When we first start our session together, I will take a few photographs to check my light and settings to make sure they are capturing you properly… with the added bonus of seeing a little about how you naturally move.
We’ll begin with basic poses, and I’ll adjust you from your head to your toes, ensuring your best angles are captured in the images I take. Special attention is paid to your posture and placement of your chin, shoulders, and hands. We’ll create interest with asymmetry and hourglass shapes, keep body language in mind, and build a sense of connection in your photographs.
Seated, standing, leaning… I’ve got a repertoire of prompts and set-ups in mind, with the experience to know which will work best for you, and a set of inspiration poses on hand at all times. You don’t need to be a model to look good – you already look good, and I’ll make sure you look your best, even if you aren’t a model.
Over 50 with MaggieYou don't need to be a model to look great in your photographs.
Honestly, photographing models is easy: they look good at every angle and know how to move and pose themselves… and unless I have something specific in mind, I don’t need to think about what to do with them. Creating great images with someone who feels like they don’t know what they’re doing, on the other hand (and perhaps a bit selfishly), gives me a sense of accomplishment. And you get the added bonus of being one step closer to your modeling career.
