What NOT To Bring to Your Boudoir Session

September 16, 2022  •  Leave a Comment

You’re doing a boudoir session? Awesome! There are lots of lists and guides about what to wear and how to prepare… but here’s the short list of what not to bring with you:

  1. Anyone who might say something critical… or even look like they are thinking it! Yes, I welcome someone coming along for your safety and security. This can be nerve-wracking for some people, especially since I’m asking you to be vulnerable with me – a practical stranger. But your support person should be supportive, and they are absolutely not allowed to interfere with the camera confidence I’m trying to build with you.
  2. Your inner critic. She needs to check it at the door, too! We’re about loving our bodies, not shaming or negativity.

That’s it.

That’s the list.

Anything else, we can work with.

Have 15 different outfits? Dump the drawer into your suitcase, and I'll help you choose the most flattering.

Have props? Ooh! I'm about to find out a lot about your fantasies... and that's okay, too. Your secret is safe with me.

Want a partner to share in the fun? Bring it! We might make it steamy, but I have rules!

Oh! One more thing: there's no need to bring your worries. It's okay if you do, but you can leave them at home, too.

Don’t have matching undergarments? That’s okay – we’ll use one piece at a time with your outer garments. Don’t have anything that fits? We’ll fake it with strategically placed sheets. Forgot your lacy undies? I probably have a pair you can wear for your session (and keep; those are never reused here - ew). There’s a whole drawer full of fun things to play with.

Forgot your confidence? We’ll work through that, too!

Literally, just show up and we’ll create a beautiful celebration of you!
