When you walk into my studio, I want you to smell Nothing.
I arrive about an hour before your session (all the way across my back yard) to make sure everything is in place and ready for you. Depending on the season, I’ll go earlier to turn on the propane heater or the window air conditioner to adjust the temperature.
I know that when you walk in the door, the first thing might notice is the smell… so I have an air purifier to help eliminate that (especially from the propane).
What I’d like to do, however, is have you smell Something. Something pleasant.

I’m going to ask you during our pre-session consultation if you have a favorite scent. Is there a type of smell that relaxes you and puts you in a good mood? I’ll try to bring it in, whether as an air freshener or candle. Citrus? Roses? Fresh Linen? Evergreen? Lavender? Love them all and want to share the happy!
Is there a scent you don’t like? Let me know about that, too! For instance, there is something about fake vanilla and fake coconut smells that I just cannot stand. If that’s your preference, I’ll still try to make it happen, though. My olfactory sense usually shuts down fairly quickly when a strong smell lingers. Remind me to tell you about a long-ago visit to a French perfumery….
I want your experience in front of my camera to be wonderful in every way, including what you smell.
