While every photograph is checked and edited for correct exposure, color, and crop, not every photo is retouched. I do, however, retouch all beauty, boudoir, and headshot images purchased. What do I retouch? Glad you asked!

I will remove temporary blemishes (acne, cuts/scrapes/bruises), but you’ll keep your freckles and scars. I’ll take care of stray hairs that fall across your face or clothing. I will brighten up your eyes and teeth just a little bit (we don’t want radioactive-glowing pearly whites or eyes) and perhaps soften your smile lines (but not totally remove them – you earned those!). Just Say No to overly-processed (plastic-looking) skin! I might nudge a bulge created by your under-garments, but I will not reshape your body. If you ask me nicely, I’ll remove a crooked necklace or errant bra strap.

If it’s a boudoir session and I’m going to make your picture anonymous for sharing, I’ll take out anything identifiable, like tattoos or statement jewelry that someone might recognize as yours and yours alone. I’ll even remove a few freckles, moles, and scars to make doubly-sure no one but you knows it’s you.

Lastly, I’ll clean up the background/set.

If you want more extensive retouching (like a “head swap” because you liked your expression better in this picture, but your partner’s expression better in that one), there is an additional fee.
