Choosing your wedding photographer is pretty important, since they are creating critical keepsakes of your day. Making sure you get the photographer whose style matches yours means you should probably book them as soon as you have a date and venue!

Generally in the 12-month countdown checklists found in bridal guides, deciding on a photographer ideally happens at least nine months before your ceremony date. You’ll want to schedule your engagement photo session around the same time, as you’ll want pix for your announcement (and it’s a good way to get more comfortable with your photographer and their camera).
