You may wonder how sharing personal photos can help grow your business. Studies have shown that people want to get to know the leader of the companies they do business with, no matter the size!
I’m typically working with small-business people who want to connect with clients and show how they’re involved in the community. Here are some ideas for how our branding sessions might work.
Let’s say you’re a dentist. I’m going to suggest three stories. The first would be you “in action” working with patients and your staff. The second would be you in various places around town – in the community. The third would have you engaging in a favorite activity to perhaps find a commonality with your clients, whether that be trail running or jewelry making – whatever hobby you enjoy.
Do you have an interior design firm? Let’s show you in three stories. The first might show you collaborating on a design or drafting plans. The second might highlight shopping in your favorite local stores, sourcing items for a project. The third showcases you in a client’s home, styling and organizing and putting finishing touches in place.
Are you a financial advisor? Another three stories. This is an industry known for being more “corporate,” so let’s show you in that office environment, of course… but then let’s show you at home, with family, cooking together or getting ready for the day. And let’s show your community involvement, whether that’s reading to children, playing bingo with the elderly, or delivering food to the hungry.
Have a product-based business? Let’s create images of you using the product! Especially if you are in direct sales, personal brand photos will really help you stand out among others with the same or similar products. We’ll photograph you cooking with your favorite utensils and spices, storing leftovers in appropriate containers. Or we’ll photograph you styling the season’s clothing pieces with the latest jewelry options or makeup selections. We can create images of you using the latest tools and designs for whatever you create.
If you still aren’t sure what to share, I’d love to meet with you and see if we can brainstorm options for showing your stories!
