Branding 101: What’s Your Brand?

May 08, 2020  •  Leave a Comment

Before you can build a personal brand, you’ll need to do some internal work.

To start, you’ve got to know two key things: what are your goals, and why? These are your guiding principles!

Identify your Unique Value Proposition. Figure out what benefit you offer people, how you solve their problems, and what makes you different from others like you.

People remember stories. What is yours? What have you overcome?

What character traits do you want to highlight as you build your brand? For instance, I know a lot about bookkeeping, but you won’t find me talking about it.

Craft a compelling brand statement: think “personal mission statement” for this aspect of your brand. Make it interesting, so it continues to serve as guidance for how you move forward.

Steps to define your personal brand

If you’d like to work through your brand building together, I’d love to help.
