FIVE TIPS FOR BETTER SELFIES

You will, of course, want to share selfies on social media; it’s just the way things are, and it's unlikely you're being followed by a professional photographer. Take better images with these tips:

  1. Check your hair (fluff it if you can) and makeup. No time? At least press your lips together to get a little color in them and give ‘em a quick lick for moisture.
  2. Posture matters. Stand or sit up tall. Lean slightly forward, and pop a hip out to create some curve in your body.
  3. Chin forward and down (like a turtle). It feels awkward, but it brings your eyes closer to the camera (they’ll look larger) and eliminates any double chin.
  4. “Smize” – smile with your eyes.
  5. Show your best side. You probably know which you prefer; turn at a 45 degree angle, rather than standing straight on.
