Hi! I'm Margaret McCanna, also known as Maggie.

I've been a photographer for... well... decades, professionally since 2010. My goal is to help women look good in photographs.

I'm here for the mom who is always behind the camera and never in the pictures....

I'm here for the female entrepreneur who is always working in her business, but needs to work on her business.

My forté is in creating images that capture your personality in a relaxed and carefree session.

I’m a full-service boutique photographer, working with you at every step.

  • Before: I’m here to guide you and help you figure out exactly what you want. Once we’ve spoken and you’ve booked your session, I will come to you for our consultation. This gives us a chance to go over all the styling details, from what’s in your closet to wear to potential locations for wall art.
  • During: I’ll guide you through posing and expression during the photoshoot. With a little trust, I promise you’ll have a genuine smile before long.
  • After: I’ll help you select from the best of the best images, edit them to your liking, and provide quality products to show off your fabulous pictures to friends and family. I will even hang your pictures on your wall.

Visit “Beauty” for more on personal pictures for tweens, teens, seniors, mothers… and get an idea of why a custom glam session might be right for you.

Visit “Business” for info on simpler portraits (pix without the fuss), headshots, and personal branding.

My Session Information PDF shows what your photo session with me might look like. Once you are ready for some great photographs, let's get to know each other over coffee (or smoothies... or milkshakes...), and talk about celebrating your life's true beauty in images you love. You can schedule a Zoom call online, or reach me via email at [email protected] or contact me by phone/text at (434) 226-0365, and let me know when and where you'd like to meet!
